During the week of October 19th, administrators from the Beijing Dance Academy will be visiting NC State University to learn more about education and dance practices at our university. This visit is a collaboration between NC State’s Global Training Initiative and the Dance Program. During the week, the administrators will be attending sessions conducted by GTI, International Affairs, I+DEA and the Dance Program. They will attend an on-campus session with Dr. Mila Parrish, the Director of Dance Education and Dance Teacher Certification at UNCG. The Global Training Initiative and the Dance Program have also arranged tours and discussions off campus with the Duke Dance Program, the internationally renowned American Dance Festival and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. This exciting collaborative event hopes to offer insight into artistic and pedagogical practices for all parties.
