y and Panoramic Dance Project have started this school year off with a bang. Both companies dove right into residencies throughout the weekend of September 3, 2021, working with extremely talented guest artists Kassandra Taylor Newberry and Shayla Taylor, respectively.
On April 21, 2021, on Centennial Campus East, the Dance Program presented an evening of live dance! The outdoor, drive-up performance sold out in a matter of days.

In an old warehouse in downtown Durham, nine dancers, dressed in pantaloons and antique blouses, gathered to film footage for an upcoming screendance, Sweat. Prior to this, the dancers had spent over a dozen hours that very same weekend working with a choreographer to bring the project to fruition from beginning to end.
